Bybit Closed P&L explained

Updated October 2026

Bybit’s Closed P&L is already a net number — but it is recorded per closing order, not per position. Here is what is inside it and how to see the result of a whole trade.

What is inside Closed P&L

According to Bybit, Closed P&L of a record equals the price result minus the opening fee, minus the closing fee, minus funding paid while the position was open (funding received increases it). So unlike Binance, the number is already net — you don’t need to subtract fees again.

When a position is closed partially, the opening fee and funding are split between the closing records in proportion to the closed size.

One trade — several rows

A Closed P&L record belongs to a closing order, not to a position. If you took profit in three parts, you will see three rows for one trade. To get the result of the trade, add up the rows of the same coin and side with the same opening, and use the volume-weighted average for the exit price.

Where to find it

In the app and on the website Closed P&L lives in the derivatives orders history (usually Assets → Orders → Derivatives → Closed P&L; names can change). There you can filter by coin and period and export the list. Bybit keeps Closed P&L for up to two years; the API returns it in windows of up to 7 days.

Why the fee column can be empty

If you track trades in a journal and the separate “fee” column for Bybit shows a dash, it is not an error: the fees are already inside Closed P&L, and the record itself does not always return them separately. The total is still correct.

How CheckMyProfit handles Bybit

Trades load from Closed P&L for the last year, rows of the same position are combined into one trade, and the opening time is taken from the execution history so that holding time is real. The Telegram bot sends one card when the position is fully closed — not one per partial take-profit.

Questions

Does Bybit Closed P&L include fees?

Yes. It already includes opening and closing fees and funding, so it is the net result of the closed part.

Why do I see several Closed P&L rows for one trade?

Because each closing order creates its own record. Partial take-profits give several rows that together make one trade.

Does my Bybit API key expire?

A key without an IP restriction can expire after about three months; then synchronization stops until you create a new one.
