Bybit trading journal

CheckMyProfit reads your Bybit closed P&L through a read-only API key and builds a trading journal from it: entry, exit, leverage and net result of every trade, with charts and analytics.

What CheckMyProfit imports from Bybit

  • About a year of closed trades on the first sync.
  • Net PnL from Bybit: closed P&L already includes trading fees and funding, so the result matches your Bybit account.
  • Leverage of every closed trade.
  • Real holding time: the opening time is taken from your execution history, so a trade does not look like it lasted zero minutes.
  • Open positions update live — price and unrealized PnL change instantly.

How to connect Bybit

01

Open API management

In Bybit go to Account → API and create a System-generated API key with Read-Only access.

02

Permissions and IP

Allow reading of Positions and choose No IP restriction — with an IP binding Bybit rejects requests from our server.

03

Check the account type

The account has to be a Unified Trading Account.

04

Paste it into CheckMyProfit

Copy the API Key and the Secret, open API Keys → Bybit in CheckMyProfit and press Connect.

What you get in the journal

  • Every trade on a candlestick chart with entry and exit markers
  • Win rate, profit factor and breakdowns by coin, weekday and hour
  • Profit calendar and equity curve
  • Notes, tags and screenshots for each trade
  • A Telegram message when a trade closes

Good to know

  • The key must have no IP restriction, otherwise Bybit rejects the requests.
  • Bybit limits how long keys without an IP binding stay valid. If syncing stops, check on Bybit whether the key has expired and create a new one.
  • Linear contracts (USDT and USDC) are imported; spot, options and inverse contracts are not.
  • History goes back about a year — older closed P&L is not loaded.

Questions about Bybit

Why does Bybit reject my key?

Usually one of three things: the key has an IP restriction, the account is not a Unified Trading Account, or the Positions read permission is missing.

Are fees and funding included in PnL?

Yes. Bybit’s closed P&L is already net of trading fees and funding, and CheckMyProfit uses it as it is.

Is it safe?

A read-only key cannot trade or withdraw. Keys are stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM).

How fast does a closed trade appear?

Bybit has a live connection: a closed trade shows up on the site within seconds. If the Telegram bot is connected, it sends a card once the position is fully closed.
