OKX trading journal
CheckMyProfit reads your OKX position history through a read-only API key and turns it into a trading journal: every closed position with entry, exit, leverage and net result, plus charts and analytics.
What CheckMyProfit imports from OKX
- About three months of position history — as far back as OKX’s API goes.
- History that keeps growing: positions already loaded stay in CheckMyProfit even after OKX stops returning them, so connecting early keeps more of your history.
- Net PnL: OKX’s realized PnL already includes trading fees and funding.
- Sizes in coins: OKX returns contracts, and CheckMyProfit converts them using the contract value.
- Leverage of every closed position.
How to connect OKX
Create an API key
In OKX open Profile → API and create a new API key.
Read permission only
Tick Read only — no Trade and no Withdraw.
Set a passphrase
OKX asks you to set a passphrase for the key. Remember it: CheckMyProfit needs the key, the secret and this passphrase.
Paste it into CheckMyProfit
Open API Keys → OKX, paste the three values and press Connect.
What you get in the journal
- Every trade on a candlestick chart with entry and exit markers
- Win rate, profit factor and breakdowns by coin, weekday and hour
- Profit calendar and equity curve
- Notes, tags and screenshots for each trade
- A Telegram message when a trade closes
Good to know
- OKX’s API returns only about three months of position history. Older trades cannot be loaded, but everything loaded once is kept.
- Perpetual swaps are imported; spot, expiry futures and options are not.
- Open position prices refresh every few seconds.
Questions about OKX
Where do I find the passphrase?
You set it yourself when creating the key, and OKX does not show it again. If you have forgotten it, create a new key.
Why do I only see three months of trades?
OKX’s API does not return older position history. From the moment you connect, CheckMyProfit keeps every position it has loaded, so the journal grows over time.
Are fees and funding included in PnL?
Yes. OKX’s realized PnL is already net of trading fees and funding fees.
Is a Read key enough?
Yes. CheckMyProfit only reads history, positions and balance — with a Read key nothing can be traded or withdrawn.
